January 17-18, 2009    New territory - close to home.  The fish weren't biting 'cause the weather was turning snowy, but it was a great hike, with beautiful water and a comfortable campsite.

This one was not actually a BSA event, 'cause we couldn't get enough adult leaders, so we did it on our own.  But Scouting is something you use wherever you go.  We used the Leave-No-Trace priciples and had a great time.
Light snow on both Saturday night and Sunday morning, and a side trip to see Whitewater Falls - headwaters of Lake Jocassee.

We need to go back here.  Ellicot Rock is only 1.8 miles further north along the Chattooga!
